Lilac Lines is committed to making our website and digital sewing patterns as accessible and easy to use as reasonably possible.

We want as many people as possible to be able to browse our website, understand our content and use our digital products comfortably.

Website accessibility

We aim to make our website clear, consistent and straightforward to navigate.

As part of this, we aim to:

  • Use clear and readable text

  • Maintain appropriate colour contrast where possible

  • Use headings and page structures consistently

  • Provide descriptive text for meaningful images where appropriate

  • Make links and buttons clear and understandable

  • Support navigation using a keyboard where possible

  • Design pages so that they remain usable across different screen sizes and devices

Our website is hosted on Squarespace, and some aspects of accessibility may depend on the functionality provided by the Squarespace platform and any third-party services we use.

Digital sewing patterns

Our sewing patterns are supplied as downloadable digital files and may include pattern files, instructions and other supporting documents.

We aim to make our instructions clear, logically structured and easy to follow. However, the accessibility of PDF files and other downloadable content may vary depending on the software, device or assistive technology being used.

Ongoing improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We may review and improve our website and digital products as Lilac Lines develops.

We do not currently claim that every part of our website or every digital file meets a particular accessibility standard or level of WCAG conformance.
